Welcome to our riding center.....




The Atlantic Riding Center for Health (ARCH) was founded in 1988 to promote therapeutic horseback riding for individuals with disabilities. ARCH is a Premier Accredited Center through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.). With nationally certified instructors and the use of the horse, clients of all ages improve concentration, attention, posture, mobility, self-esteem, and self-confidence. Additionally, children improve grades in school while adults become employed. Through private, business, and corporate contributions, ARCH can accept riders regardless of their ability to pay for services.

Our state of the art facility was designed to meet the needs of all riders and permits year round therapy and programs. It features a 160' x 80' indoor ring with a raised, ramped mounting block for wheelchair access, an 18-stall barn with a temperature controlled tack room, two grooming stalls and a wash stall for the horses. The office, large classroom and waiting room each contain viewing windows for parents, educators and donors to observe rider progress. Outside there are four lesson rings, and 20 acres licensed from the county parks system for our specially designed sensory trail.

In 2010, we have changed our name to Atlantic Riding Center for Health. To assist our mission, ARCH has created programs for those without disabilities to encourage exercise and the learning of new skills to maintain and continue a healthy lifestyle.
